(For healthy dogs with no illness such as Pancreatitis)
1 pound ground round meat, sauteed in Olive oil
2 boiled eggs, chopped
1/2cup cooked plain brown rice
1/2 package Califlower
1/2 package chopped cooked carrot
2 Tbs. low fat cottage cheese
1 tsp bone meal (can be bought at health food stores)
Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned and cooked all the way through Boil the eggs for 15 minutes and cool. When cooled, peal and chop the eggs and set aside. Cook the rice and let cool Steam the Califlower and carrots and chop when cool
Make sure all ingredients are cooled then in a large bowl combine the ground beef, eggs, rice, vegetables and cottage cheese. Mix well and guage how much your dog will eat and separate into separate portions. I keep the old dog food cans and use these as a measuring device so that I know how much my dog can be expected to eat. Remember this food is much more nutritious than what you get in commercial dog food so your dog will want more but don't let him get fat eating too much.
Keep about 3 days worth of food in the fridge and freeze the rest in individual plastic freezer bowls or bags.

When all else fails try this recipe. Remember if you dog cannot keep any food or water down for more than 24 hours take him to a vet right away. He will become dehydrated if he can't get liquids into his body.
The mildest recipe I know of. This is only to be used when your dog can't eat anything else.
Cook the cereal per package instructions and add a little low fat milk until it's creamy and the consistancy of thick soup.
Give a little at a time and see if your dog can keep it down. When puppies are weaned, this is the first solid food they get. Usually it's baby formula cream of rice.
Our dog will eat this when nothing else works. As they get stronger you can put them on a mild dog food recipe. As I've stated before, always take your dog to the vet and ask if these recipes are appropriate for your dog.
